Questions About The CME Course

What is the DermPath Slide Review Course?

The DermPath Slide Review (DPSR) Course is BDL’s annual continuing medical education course. DPSR is approved for 15 hours of CME credit, 30 MOC SA credits and fulfills voluntary proficiency testing for Dermatopathology for CLIA in one course. DPSR is a self-study course you can complete at your leisure throughout the year from your home or office.

Who should take this course?

DPSR is designed for anyone with an interest in dermatopathology. Dermatologists, whether or not they read their own slides, and pathologists should find the cases manageable and informative.

How is the DermPath Slide Review course structured?

The course comes in two different formats – an online course using virtual microscopy or a traditional glass slide-based format via the U. S. Mail. Please see our page dedicated to the DermPath Slide Review Course.

How long do I have to complete the DermPath Slide Review course?

The course materials will be available January of each calendar year for the current year’s course.The course runs through September of that same calendar year and must be completed within the year.
